Default Lift kit suggestions

I have a 2001 Ram 2500 5.9L V8. I want to put a lift kit on my truck but i have no idea how to go about this. I am only 17 and i am on a tight budget. If anybody has any advice to help, that would be great. I am trying to go for at least a 4.5" lift, but no more than 6". I was also wondering if a lift kit made for a 2001 1500 would fit a 2500. Also if a lift kit made for an '01 2500 diesel would work on a 2500 gas.

2500 is naturally 2 inches higher than the 1500, so a lift kit built for a 1500 wouldnt give you as much lift. you might actually lose height depending on what you go with.

And as far as the diesel goes a 2500 is a 2500 weither it be a 5.9gas or a 5.9diesel.

v10 2500 - 3500 coils might be stiffer but i doubt they'er any higher

do you recommend a big suspension lift? or a combination of a suspension and body lift?

put 3500 coils in your front from a junkyard or something, and aal or blocks in the rear. you will clear 35's no prob. my 99 ram was lifted like that and is about 3-4" depending on coil wear. total cost will only be 1-200
