Help!! TPS
Alright took it in and they said that i was having all kinds of high voltage readings at my tps. Is there any way i can just bypass all 3 wires going from the TPS to the PCM. Or do they slit off in the harness somewhere??
Also My tach stoped working....then shortly after all gauges stoped working except volts.
I need serious help nobody mechanic has been able to help me. One wanted 600 dollars to re wire the harness, another said that the PCM is bad. I did have some codes pulled that said low and high TPS voltage.

TPS is a fairly easy and cheap fix, $600 is a very good price to rewire any vehicle, your looking at AT LEAST $200 for a new harness add in labour and there is your price.
What was going on that you had to take the truck in, that will help to help you.

TPS, the proper torx screwdriver, and five minutes is all you need to change the TPS. A small flat, or "common", screwdriver might even work if you're careful.
The TPS itself is $34 (not including tax) at O'Reillys and Advance Auto. Part number EC3208, good BWD brand. O'Reillys carries a Lifetime warranty, Advance I believe is only 1 year.
Autozone has their "Duralast" brand, which I'm not sure I'd trust. Same price, part number TPS333. 2 year warranty.
