Default Difference between Z engine code and 5 engine code?

I was browsing through the Haynes Manual for our trucks and ran across the engine code section in the front.

C 5.9L 6cyl Diesel
W 8.0L V10
X 3.9L V6
Y 5.2L V8
Z 5.9L V8 light duty
5 5.9L V8 heavy duty
6 5.9L 6cyl Diesel 24 valve
7 5.9L 6cyl Diesel 24 valve H/O

My question is What is the difference between a Z code and a 5 code engine?

Also was the 7 engine code nothing more then the injector pump turned up?
Or was there more to it?

7 was had a slightly different injector pump (not vp44?) or it may have been turned up not exactly sure, ask on a cummins forum. They were only available in 2001-2002 (in 2nd gens) I believe and only available with a 6 speed manual (nv5600?).

5 is a 360ci that has twin cats, an airpump, and similar emmisions equipment to the V10. It was only found in heavy duty trucks. The 360s I have seen in 2500 were light dutys so it may have only come in 3500 pickups or maybe only chassis cabs.
