3" Suspension Lift
I've been wanting to add a lift kit to my truck for awhile now and I've got another question.
If I go for the 3" suspension lift kit, what other parts am I going to need besides the spacers? I've heard people mention top gun customz and skyjacker kits on ebay but haven't found any.
Also I'm really curious as to how this much of a lift would affect MPG if anyone knows.

i wouldn't think that a 3" lift is going to hurt your gas mileage, the big tires you put on there will. heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-94-...ht_3814wt_1161

Add that to the heavier tires you'll probably want to run...
BTW, that Skyjacker kit is quality stuff, but you'll want to add the extra control arms and shocks.

I just had 265's put on recently so I'd be running them for awhile at least. I had 285's previously. $500 for the 3" seems excessive, the kits I heard people talking about were claimed to be around $190 (heard that from more than 1 person). Yeah I know it definitely won't help MPG but just curious as to how much its going to affect it. Even a leveling kit that raises the front will allow more air to get under there, so not sure how it is stock vs. leveling kit vs. 3" susp lift.
Well, in my world, you get exactly what you pay for...and while you can certainly pay too much, it will cost you a lot more later if you go too cheap.
You can probably get a 2 inch kit, maybe with some low end shocks for about 2 bills. That'll work with your 265's and allow to run 285's with little or no issue.

a 3" lift isn't going to add much weight to your truck, the add-a-leafs will be where your weights added, the control arms are after market probably weigh less than your stock ones and the coil springs, i doubt, if any, they weigh much more than the stock ones you are replacing.
