I would only suggest putting the Pre-cat O2 sensor in one bank or an x-pipe. H-pipes usually do not get much actual gas flow, it is mostly just the pulses that pass through it to balance the exhaust. Therefore the O2 sensor reading in an H-pipe would not be accurate.
