A/C issue related to compressor oil?
Hey Guys,
So my A/C wasn't working a few weeks ago and I took my truck into the shop. They said the high pressure side valve was a little loose. They tightened it up and refilled with 134. The air worked for a couple weeks. They also put the dye in too.
Well I noticed compressor oil (maybe?) leaking from by where the accumulator is. I couldn't find the origin of the leak but it looked like it was coming from near the accumulator area and leaking down the back side of the passenger side wheel well and then onto the frame. Does this make sense?
I used an UV light and didn't see any dye anywhere but now my A/C is warm again. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

i have been having a/c issues for the past year. from my personal experience, if you have put the dye in the system and can not find it, it might very well be your evap core. for me, i ran the dye in the system and i had a leak at my evap core, condensor, and compressor. i wasn't so sure about the compressor so this week i'm gonna take it in to a local shop and have him check where the dye is coming from. but yeah, it MIGHT be your evap. core then.
oh yeah, if you're gonna work on the a/c at all, buy a new dryer.
