Default Slight hesitation at take off w/ normal throttle

I'll be at a stoplight, when the light turns green I'll give it a normal amount of throttle, and the truck won't move for about 0.5 - 1 seconds, then drives normal.

Any ideas?

Clean your TPS:

Or get a new one

The cleaning is a great after work job that dies not take much time at all.

I've already done this, AND it tested it two days ago with my DMM, works perfect. I didn't check however what the response time is for the change in voltage though.

hmmm. Beats me. Answer this:

When you hit the gas, does the engine REV and it takes a while to move, or does is the engine UNRESPONSIVE for .5 seconds when you hit the gas.

If it revs, it could be tranny (torque converter). if it does not rev, it could be ignition (cap, rotor, plugs, wires). THink back to the last time you replaced the ignition components.

Also, if it revs, it could be the TV cable. But I am leaning more towards my previous post.

I love these trucks. Some of these things kill boredom.

it's unresponsive. i just had the tranny replaced, so trust me, i'll take it back there in a heartbeat if I suspected the tranny.

Don't use a DMM for that, use an analog meter so you can see the needle twitch if you hit a noisy spot.

Yeah, your TPS can be so far gone that you might just need another one.

or spark plug wire routing.
