Nah I want to make sure that there is no rust under all of that bedliner. Is there a way to tell other than stripping the bedliner. My truck is a 98' and the liner is still a solid black and saves my bed from dents.

well if it isnt comming up or bubbling in any places up top id say you have no rust... To see if you have rust otherwise get under the truck and lay under the bed, if you have any bad rust on the underside of the bed get rid of it before it eats on threw and does start bubbling up top.

haha i think the #1 purpose of a spray on bedliner is to SEAL the metal from rust, and protect against dents and so on.

I assure you that if you're liner is still in tact and looks great AND you know that it was applied when the truck was brand new, you have no rust to worry about on that side of the bed at least.
