i checked compression on the right bank front to back it was 45psi-130psi-0-55psi

I pretty much stopped there and started hunting for a used long block

Think i found a couple good canidates

Take the time to take the heads off. It is possible that the heads are cracked.

How many miles on it?

its got 220k plus
And the guy said its been misfiring and driving like that for years
Ill pull the heads cause i have to pull the engine as a core any way and see whats under it
from what i was seeing rebuilds get pretty pricey on the 5.9's and there hard to come by at the auto wreckers

Might want to consider checking the plenum for leaks. That could be causing the mifiring.

Overall that's a great looking truck for 950 bones. Great find!
