Wheel hub Nightmare!
the trick to getting the hub off is - to loosen all three bolts about three turns and keep a socket on one of them so it will wedge on the axle housing flange when you turn the wheel - start the truck and use the power steering to put pressure on the socket and bolt - the hub pops right off..
u-joints there is no trick - but a lot of cussing is needed to get them out... Or you could use a good size C-Clamp and a penny to remove (and install) the clips, then punch the knuckle out..
Like suggested - clean up the bearing journals with fine grit before installing the bearings back in the yoke or spindle

Well to let you all know.... I did finally get everything done. Broke a new cap pressing in the new U-joint. But apparently there was a set from the parts store that was deffective and I got one of the bad ones so I get to get some money back thank god. As far as beating them out that was a no go. I beat the crap out of them and accidentally bent one of the yolks. So had to0 fix that. But while we were pressing out the old ones with a 20 ton press we broke the caps before they moved. So we dremeled out the yolks and had to chisel out the old caps. But all and all the truck got done last night and works. Soooooo that makes the score now DF 6 Truck 0. LOL Thanks again guys. Oh and do our trucks all think alike?? Cause we all seem to be having the same issues about the same time?? is this momma pars idea of a joke?? I don't like it lol.
