Default bad gas

My 1996 ram has been sitting for awhile and the gas smelled fowl.

So I dropped the tank and dumped the gas but is there an easy way to change the gas in the fuel line besides just hiting the starter?

If just using the starter how long should I try this before there is no doubt that the new gas has replaced the old gas?

i wouldn't worry about the gas in the lines. just start it up and let it run.
if you have a problem, it'll be gummed up fuel injectors, and dumping the gas in the lines won't help them.

Truck is not starting at this point.

Next, I will check the injectors when I get a spare block of time.

if the truck will crank up by manually squirting some starting fluid down the TB, but won't start on its own gas supply, you may have to remove the injectors and soak them in some cleaning fluid?, but i'm not sure what you can (and can't) soak them in. they're real expensive, so don't ruin them with the wrong chemical or solvent.
