Lift Kit
Also did you put you lift in your self and with or without a lift. How much time do you think it would take. I can have a good friend of mine install it for me and he said he would only charge be for half of what his guys normally make an hour.

I have a 2001 with a 6in Fabtech lift and 35's. Mine cruises fine around 70-75 without any shaking or swaying from side to side around turns. I actually think mine rides smoother now then before the lift, if that makes sense or not. I can go over just about anything and it is a lot of fun being bigger than others. I would recommend the 5in lift over the 3in. If you get the 3in then you will still want to make it bigger. I still want mine bigger at times, its like speed, you always want more. Good Luck, let me know what you decide.

As far as skyjacker goes....their bushings for the control arms will wear fast plus I've read of so many people having problems w/ the coil springs fading and sagging on side over time.
I would go w/ Fabtech or Dick Cepek, but it really depends on how much off-roading you do. 35's plus a 5" kit is a perfect combo.
I put it on in my garage with some help from my 12 year old neighbor in about 12 hours or so.
No big rush but steady.
The front coils did settle in a little bit but have not gotten any worse since the first 2 weeks.
No lift but I used three floor jacks and six jack stands and some blocks before it was over.
The hardest part was getting the truck high enough.

thats good to know. I was also wondering if you got new rear springs or if you got "add a leaf". I guess im going to have my friend help me put it on. he has a lift and he thinks we can get it done in 4 hours or so. also what kind of shocks do you have. any information you can give me is a big help. the last two things i was going to ask you is your truck stick and did you have to re-gear it (and with what size gears). and what are you tires and rim sizes. sorry to ask so many questions but there a big help.
Thanks again!!!!
Thanks again!!!!
Yes I got the add a leaf for the rear but I had some blocks in my garage that were about 1" taller than what was on my truck so I used them. It also came with pinion angle wedges.
That's partly why I had to put on the 2" Daystar front leveling kit on after.
The cheapest I could find my lift was at www.truckinconcepts.com I got the skyjacker shocks from there too I think the ones I got were for 6" or 8" lift. The web site was great as far as offering packages and model # descriptions for stuff like shock travel.
Please let me know how long it takes you after you get it installed. I will say most of my time was in the front only about an hour and a half in the rear.
As far as gears, this is my third Dodge with 35s and 4:56 gears. It works perfectly for me. Especially with an automatic with overdrive.
15x10 rims 35-13.50-15 ProComp Xterrain tires
You can check your ratio if you look close at a little metal tag on one of the differential cover bolts. Or you can jack it up,mark the tire and driveshaft with chalk and spin the wheels to see how many times the driveshaft spins for 1 complete revolution of the tire. Just over 4 would be about 4:10
My truck had 3:55 gears and it wasn't that bad with 35s but at 65 MPH It was at about 900 RPM
Your 4:10s may be good enough, if thats what you have.
Good Luck.

Thanks, i couldnt find any lift kits on that web site but i know were im going to get it. Jegs has it for $987.00. I think there the cheapest i could find. Also how is your low end with the your gears. can it turn the tires fast enough that its not going to stall when i go off road. Thanks for all your help. Im going to be putting it on in the next month or so.
my 4:56 gears would make a 6cyl seem like a powerhouse.
Try your 4:10 ratio first it may be good enough.
But if your ratio turns out to numerically lower than that your gonna need to change them.
