I found a set of nerf bars on craigslist the add said its for dodge ram
96-2001 are they wrong, i have a 95 it should be the same right.

 

I would think they would be the same.... You definitely would be able to make them fit at the very least

maybe they meant 94-01

 

thats what i told them they said thats what the salvage yard told them and from my experience with junk yards they dont know ****..

 

yea salvage yards just want people to buy it. with modification you should be able to make them fit. if the people are decent I'd take your truck over there and test it out to see what you'll need to do to make them fit if they won't fit as is. that's probably the best thing you could do as long as the bars aren't like 50 miles away.

 

they should fit, only problem you might have is on the driver side where the emergency brake runs along the frame well. just make sure once they are on its not getting in the way of the proper working on the emergnecy brake

 

when you look at websites that sell nerf bars, they all list them as fitting 94-01.
so you'll be fine.
