Hell Bent Steel 2.5" Leveling Kit Install Done!
Hey guys. Today was the day I decided to install the Hell Bent Steel 2.5 leveling kit that I had laying in the closet for over three weeks now (rainy and too wet).
I wanted to go with the 2.5 kit because, well I don't know why, but I'm glad I did. I have the 4.5" rear blocks that I am going to install with it later on being that I was too spent after doing this install. This should give me an additional 1.5" lift in the rear which would put it about .5" over the front so that I can still tow without a chevy sag.
I'm not going to lie guys, this kit was a PITA to install without a spring compressor. I know that a lot of you say that the 2" is a piece of cake and I can agree for the most part, but that extra .5" was just about hell for me. After ripping just about everything out of the front and tearing chunks out of my fingers, i did finally get it all buttoned back up and was very happy with the way it turned out.
Right now as it sits, it's about .5" taller in the front (which is ok being that I have the blocks that I am going to add in the rear). The tires that are on there are 265/75/16. I am going to go ahead and upgrade to 285/75/16 after I get the rear blocks installed.
Tell what you guys think...

looks good! Did you happen to measure the difference front to rear before you installed it? Mine is right about 2" difference so I was gonna go with the 2" spacers, but I was also thinking of doing what you did, the 2.5"s and a bigger block in the rear...
