How do you remove pulley from Alternator

Default How do you remove pulley from Alternator

Does anyone here know how to remove the pulley off the alternator? Thanks

Leave the belt on and hit it with a impact that's the way I did mine

+1, Impact worked for me. I did it with the alternator out of the truck though... used a strap wrench to keep it from spinning, but I probably could have gotten away with just gripping it with my hand.

i don't know if this applies or not, but i once changed a power steering pump that came rebuilt without a pulley, and autozone loaned me a "pulley removal tool". i don't know if it was for PS pump only, or anything with a pulley.

Funny u mention that I just used the kit and changed the pulley onto my new power steering pump last week. But no they don't work with the alternator pulley.
