Default Lift kit...too much to think about

I'm looking for a suspension lift for my Ram. I've been looking around and doing as much research as I can. I don't want to get bigger wheels/tires, so I want to know what will look good (as far as height goes), but not make my truck look like crap because of the smaller tires. Any ideas?

I also don't want to front end higher than the back, just leveled out. How many inch difference do I need from the back to the front to level it out? I've seen some kits for a 2" lift in the front to level it out, but also I've seen 3" and 1.5" and everything in between. Would I be safe with the front lift 2" higher than the back?

Now as far as the lift goes, I'm looking at a block lift for the rear leaf springs. I know I'll need new, longer shocks.

For the front, I'm looking at spindle lifts, which add 3" - 3.5". For this it looks like I don't need a steering extension or longer shocks.

Another option is 2" spacers. I'll need longer shocks and steering extension.

I'm just trying to decide the best options. Any suggestions?

Welcome to DF.

You don't have it in your sig... is the truck a 4x4 or 4x2? IMO, no reason to lift a 4x2 other than a leveling kit in the front.

1.5" will make it almost level, about as close as you can get. Some people report 2" makes their front sit higher, so I definitely wouldn't do any more than 2". A truck that is jacked up in the front higher than it is in the rear is just plain ridiculous, IMO.

Just installed a lift on my truck 2.5 in the front and 1.75 in the rear, with just the 2.5 lift springs in the front the truck sat about an inch *** low in the rear, now it looks damn close to level but is really a tad higher in the back. I did not get new shocks because I'm going to get them a little later in the summer, my old ones stretched enough and I went down a dirt road and they havent busted yet

Yeah sorry, forgot to put that in my sig. It's a 2wd unfortunately.

What brand did you go with for the coil? And 1.75" block in the back or something else? Any pics of it?

Its was bought off of ebay canuck motorsports, and the back was a lift shackle but if I was to do it again I would have gone with a block in the back much easier and will have pics of it installed later today hopefully, I have a thread called future plans where there is pics

Well I'm still looking around to find my best options. What's a good and reliable shock company? I was looking at the Bilstein, but I don't like the blue/yellow color of them.
