Tranny plug pic
I hope I put it in the right spot
, I think I got the idea off a past post, kinda right behind the magnet and out of the way of getting ripped off the bottom. Couldnt remember who's post it was, but thanks, I poured the old oil back in the pan to see if the plug was gonna leak its been sitting for awhile now with no leaks. so i guess im good to go, headed back out to finish the oil change

Yeah i wanted to put it on the bottom, but then i figured i'll play it safe, didnt want to end up like that other guy..lol atleast it wont look like i gutted a pig under my truck anymore.. i hope, and hey did you get your permit?
Me, I was the guy that put it on the wrong side and I could not put my tranny pan back on. BUT, it gave me an excuse to get the derale tranny pan with the extra 2.5 quart capacity and the cooling tubes!!!
being on the side is fine.
it doesn't really matter it doesn't drain out ALL the oil, since usually you go ahead and drop the pan to change the filter. the point of the plug is to drain out the 1-1/2 gallons of oil so the damn thing doesn't weigh 25+ pounds and doesn't dribble out the pan when you loosen it.
