Welcome to DF.

I'd recommend doing a search of the section (link is in black bar right above where it says "2nd Gen Ram 1994 through 2001 Rams"). This topic has been beaten to death over and over again, usually twice a week or more.

What size tires/gears.
What kind of mileage? 13-15 is normal on a 4x4 and 14-16 is normal on a 4x2, that is if it is in good condition.

A Hughes Air Gap is one of the best things for better mileage and a little more get up.

Welcome to Dodgeforum!

Post a picture of your new truck and fill out your sig with what size motor and if it is 4 wheel drive or 2. This helps when you ask a question or having a problem with your truck so we have an idea where to start.

Some common problems with 2nd gens: plenum leak, tranny, cracked dash, and some more. The search button will be your best friend
