Exclamation Trans type?

I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9L v8 and was just wondering what type of transmission i have in my truck, is it a 46re or a 46rh ? and what is the differense. I'm in the process of looking for a new trans would appreciate any info thanks.........

46re is electronically controlled, 46rh is hydraulically controlled which one you have, don't know but just shootin from the hip open your hood and look at the drives side firewall if you see what looks like a computer with maybe 3 connectors with about 30 wires attached to it i'd say you probably have the 46re but again i am guessing MonteC is the tranny GOD you could send him a pm or wait for someone else to chime in
