Welcome! First thing anyone on here is gonna tell you is do the plenum fix. A couple searches and some reading will explain it all. I'm about to do it on my 95 next week. As far as the headers go, I've seen them but no experience with them. Someone else will definitely know. Also start looking in to changing out the air cleaner setup.

Welcome to the forum!

It seems, from all I've read, to be hit and miss, mostly miss, with those hundred dollar headers. I've never heard or read where anyone has said "I wish I'd just saved my money and bought those ebay headers instead of these Gibsons". It's not a gamble I'm going to take myself, anyway.

Now watch someone come along and say it just to make my day.

I wish I'd just saved my money and bought those ebay headers instead of these Gibsons. No just kidding, i have bought these headers just havent installed them yet. they seem to be good quality just from looking at them, im sure they flow better than the stock manifolds. Im going to get locking bolts and new gaskets though. hell, worth a shot

All cheap ebay headers have one thing in common which is that they turn blue/change colors in a short amount of time because of low quality. Just remember you get what you pay for, and in the long run its worth spending the xtra $ on truck you really care about. If your looking for the best bang for your buck, get an upgraded Cold Air Intake, SCT tuner from 'Hemifever' and anything you can afford from Hughes Engines

i have those ebay headers, though i paid a little more than $100, i don't suggest you use the gasket that comes with it but personally regardless of which unless you buy the black ones, chrome and stainless are going to change colors, may not be next week but eventually they will change, i've had hedman headers on my bbc and they changed, buy the black ones, they don't change colors and i do not regret buying those cheap headers.

i wouldnt go with ebay on that...

spend the money and get GOOD ones

i think summit has them for like $180...and if you dont do the plenum, those are going to get caked with oil, so take that $100 bucks and go to http://hughesengines.com and get the plenum reienforcment kit.

Aside from discoloring, is there anything wrong with those headers? The price makes them awfully enticing.

i dont think they use the best steel....they may show fatigue at some of the weld points in a couple years....like someone said, its a gamble...theres a reason they are cheap, and dont forget, you get what you pay for...
