Post 1998 horn problem!!!!

I have a 1998 1500 4x4 and it is extremely difficult to honk the horn. I googled this problem and it turns out that alot of 1998 dodges have the same problem. It is very hard to honk the the horn due to the airbag configuration. Theres only a few spots you can push and you have to push very hard.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there an easy fix? Besides replacing airbag. For example a 1999.

You could probably wire in a new switch. I hooked up a foot switch for my air horns - and I find it is way more convenient than the button on the wheel. I'll try and dig up some pictures...

I have the same issue. I was told it was an easy fix but I don't like messing with the airbag. Supposedly there are a couple pins that touch when you push the horn button. supposedly you can bend them out and that makes it more acceptable.
