I looked at a 97 with a 360 that had straights dumped over the rear axle and it sounded great but it was LOUD inside the cab

Hmmm ???? mine isn't loud in the cab at all. It's just loud when I roll down the window and am passing some kind of concrete wall or something on the passenger side...then I get to hear what everyone outside is hearing. I mean it's slightly louder in the cab with windows up but my 10 y/o son and I can still play the tunes at a normal level while carrying on a normal conversation. As a parent I wouldn't have him riding around in something that would do damage to his hearing.

When I had a hollowed out cat on there it was loud inside. Louder than I was comfortable with.

My old long deceased cam'd VW Scirocco with it's header, glasspack and polyurethane motor mounts had a definite drone in the cab not to mention enough vibration to rattle your teeth. The Dodge is really quiet inside compared to how that thing was.

The cat had been removed on the truck I looked at. It was just a mud truck
