Hey im new here and I have a 95 dodge ram 2500 4x4 5.9 360, I have a 5 inch lift and 36", I also have poweraide throttle body spacers and a cold air intake. Im trying to decide on some new exuast. Im wondering if headers are really worth it? Or should I just get dual 3 inch exuast all the way back and spend the 280 bucks on a power chip instead. Im just wondering what your alls thoughts are..

I guess this boils down to how much cash you have. If it were me, I'd go with the exhaust and the power chip. The chip will give ya the power, and the exhaust will make it sound great. The headers will help a lot but the other two will give you both the power and sound.

IMO that's what I'd do!

 

going to dual 3" all the way back will kill your low end torque, and kill your milage even more than what it's at now. Hypertech and superchips are good (not sure if they have it for your year truck, you'll have to check).

for exhaust, i'd do the headers and if you want dual exhaust, flowmaster 3"in dual 2.5" out necked down to 2.25"... this is what I did and it is an excellent setup. I have the gibson headers with a stock center piece... 3 cats... yeah 3 cats between the headers and the mufflers. if you dont already have a CAI, the gibson is an excellent choice. trash the spacer unless you need it for a body lift that was done.

 

Well I think im going to go with Ram4Aron on this one. Im sure it can only imrpove my low end power considering my exuast I have now have broken off at the point were the muffler mounts to the exuast, so its coming straight out the back of the muffler. But later on in the summer when I can get some more cash I will install some headers. now about the power chips wich are the best, Ive been looking at hyper tech super chips and I cant find them for a 95, atleast not the performance tuner. I was looking at the jet stage 2 performance module also but it isnt for my year either. Can I find a chip or a module for a 95 5.9l?
