gas to diesel conversions

Alright so i have a 96 3/4 dodge with a 5.9L lariat slt gas engine. My question is will a cummins diesel bolt in nicely? and if not is there a diesel engine out there that will?

For what it would cost you might as well spend the money on a factory built truck and have a few(lot) less headaches.
