I would be all over that Cummins. Buy the Cummins, sell the other or make a monster truck out of it.

The 12v is a whole lot better than the 24v for mods. If you are concerned about power and torque, the 12v is the way to go. These engines will last forever if you take care of them. I wouldn't hesitate one bit buying one with that kind of mileage and for the price.... shoot yeah!

Yup 12v is way more reliable too. One thing to watch for is the front end may be shot on the diesel(heavy engine weak front end) and also the auto tranny could be about shot too.

other than the head, the differences is basically the injection pump, and injection system, the 12v will make a lot more power, very cheap to make the power, and is more reliable than the 24 but thats mainly because of the tempermental injection pump and its ability to **** the bed on the 24v, neither are bad engines, but the 12v is a better choice IMO, either way, if you get it, just hit me up, and i can tell you all about the mods, and what to do to make it reliable, one other thing, check to see if it is a "53"
block, they are very prone to cracking, they are kinda rare but they are out htere still

If the diesel truck is in good enough shape you should jump it before someone else does.

Sorry guys wasted post...it is a scam. A Craiglist Scam...emailed the "guy" twice and received the same email message back. Each email had different questions, his response:

"Hello, thank you for your interest in my 1998 DODGE RAM 2500 4x4. The truck is in excellent running condition with 193 K miles. I recently moved in Omaha, Nebraska and I have the truck here with me. I will ship it from here on my expense through DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers). The payment will be handled securely through eBay. They will handle the financial part of this transaction, I will only take care of the shipping. If you want to make this purchase, the total price is $3300 (the shipping is included). I ask a little for this great truck because after my late wife passed away I was forced to manage all the debts. Following the financial crisis I cannot afford to pay the banks and I decided to sell the truck. I don`t want to waste time on advertising the truckF at the true value. If you're willing to make this purchase, contact me asap and let's start the transaction. Send me your name and address so I can start the case with eBay. They will contact you by email with instructions."

Sometimes I really hate people...
