Default help out a new guy with oil pressure problem

I have a 97 ram with a 5.2, when I come to a idle after the oil warms up I loose pressure. I changed the oil, and it was fine for 300 miles. The motor doesn't knock or anything when it drops. I'm thinking the oil sending unit. Thanks guys for any help.

Your gauge flickers or drops and the light comes on? and as soon as you resume to speed the pres comes back up? if so, yes it's a faulty sending unit, I have the same problem on my truck but I work at a shop 9 hours a day 5-6 days a week and when I get home from a burnin hot humid day at work I damn sure don't feel like diggin down into the back of my motor in my lifted truck to tear a faulty sending unit out I reckon when I do I'll put a set of auto meter gauges in it.

What does it drop down to at idle? Its normal for oil pressure to drop at idle when the engine is warmed up. After warming up mine drops to 35-40 at idle and jump to 50 or so at speed.
