I have seen these build sheet mentioned on this site, but when I called my local dodge dealer they said my truck was to old ( 96 Ram 2500) and they would not be able to tell me anything.

Specifically I want to know for sure if I have a limited slip diff or not. I think so but can't be sure,

Sounds like you're dealer may be lazy. Stop by another dealer and ask for a Star Network Vehicle Information Report. All you need to have is your VIN and they'll be able to print one out for you at no charge.

 

to check if u have limited slip dif::::: Step on the brake, Step on the gas and let the tires spin, stop drive away look at marks if theres 2 u got a nice limited slip dif :P

I think if you jack it up and spin the rear wheel by hand the other tire should spin the same direction. Then you know for sure you have limited slip
