What year is your truck if its older than 00' you should be able to bolt on 15's without a problem if anything you might have to do a little grinding on the caliper, I put 15's on my truck for a quick test fit of some tires.

The advantage of going to a 15 inch rim is cheaper tires, and keeping the standard sizes instead of metric, if its 4x4 I would get 4.5 bs so you dont rub on the control arms maybe even a little less, 2wd you can get away with 5 bs

It would help if you added a sig with some info about your truck

Because IIRC they changed to dual piston calipers for one.

The dual piston calipers are bigger, so I wouldn't just go buy a set without confirming with some one that actually has a 2001 and has tried 15 inch wheels.

i have an 01 and when i went to buy new rims and tires at discount tire they said 15's wouldnt fit my truck so i got the 16's instead and just got some 285 rubber and judging by what i see on my rims 15's would more than likely not fit mine
