Default A/C question...is it supposed to sweat???with pics.

I was checking my oil and I noticed that the A/C accumulator and a few lines/hoses seem to have condensation on them. Is this normal?

That's what she said.

To the OP -- worst case, get some foam to wrap and insulate the lines and the accumulator.

If it ain't sweating it's either out of refrigerant or the compressor isn't working.
I've heard of people using that aluminum heat tape and taping the accumulator and the lines and their a/c worked better.

I wonder if there's any way to gain some benefit to that wasted cold air? Perhaps sleeve it and run the intake air thru the sleeve, or perhaps run a metal fuel line wrapped around it several times to cool the fuel charge? Might get you back a bit of the power lost to running the AC unit...
