I have never owned a pair of pacesetter headers, but I would not buy a pair. I have heard almost nothing good about them. Some of what I have heard include: cheap quality, poor welds, flanges warp, require constant retightening. FYI, Summit headers are made by pacesetter also.

Here is an example:

From my research, I have found that for Dodge Rams, the best headers are:
-JBA
-Mopar - except they don't come ceramic coated
-Gibson
-Edelbrock
-GSMotorsport - these are pricey though

Ceramic coated are the best. They keep underhood temps down, and look good for a long time. They are more expensive though.

Spent a lot of time researching and found that pacesetters are just as good as a $300 set. At one time I believe pacesetters were junk but because of competition they had to improve. I have installed a set on my truck and have not had a problem. I do not know how good the chrome or ceramic ones hold up, I have the standard set. Heavy duty 3/8 flanges, welds look good, excellent alignment with stock downtubes.

I have the gibsons and they are awesome. my only complaint is 1 bolt on each side is really tough to wrench on and it's the same bolt on both sides... on the #7 & 8 cylinders towards the middle... other than that, there awesome.

oh wait, they were a beotch to get sealed the 1st time they were installed, however with the recent motor work and putting on napa header gaskets it sealed right up the 1st time.

I have Pacesetters on mine. The only suggestion is to through the header bolt away and get some studs, washers and nuts. Mine have never came loose and sealed up great.
