If I were you, I would just keep checking ebay/craigslist. You can probably pick up a set for cheaper than having yours re-done. I have seen them in my area on craigslist for around 250-300 for all 4 in perfect shape.

You should be able to call or go to some local body shops and see who they use to fix rims, I know with my moms BMW the body shop sent the rim off to get refinished because the front of it was all scratched, they did this instead of getting a new rim, I think it was $75 to fix it and it looked like new when done

A few guys are using the Plast-Dip in the spray can. It actually has a real good look to it, flat black and a bit of texture, almost like if you used bed liner on them.

The nice thing about using it is the product requires no prep other than just cleaning the surface before spraying it on.

Here is a thread by one guy who did this...

You really don't. I've seen only a handful of 2nd gen offroad editions where I live.

My girlfriend bought a car in clayton. Nice place. Yeah I've only seen 2 also. One was driving by and the other was actually for sale and I hate myself for not jumping on it. I love my truck but it's for work and not play. My 99 expy is my play toy but it's just so damn heavy it gets stuck in almost everything...that and it's a ford.

i would sand them down, really smooth, go from a low grit to remove the chipped and cracked clear, to a really fine grit, then prime, paint, and clear them. you can paint them silver if you arent a fan of the black.
