Default 1994 Ram 2500 Shift Indicator

I am removing the dash on my 94 Ram 2500 and need to release the shift indicator wire. Do I have to totally unscrew the adjusting screw to get it out?
Thanks, OD

I used to take the one on my 96 Dakota off. All I had to do was to hold the indicator wire and pull the curved ring loop the wire set in down a little and the wire sliped off. I could do this with just the front of the dash off. The Ram is a little different but I dont see t much difference.
