hitch bolt size?

Default hitch bolt size?

Can anyone tell me the size of bolts i need to install this hitch i just picked up today? they look like 1/2" but i might be wrong, i want to make sure i get the right size. its a 01 ram 1500 thanks

Without seeing the hitch you've got it'd be just guesswork, so: Use the largest diameter bolts that will fit without deforming the threads on the way through the holes.

just measure the diameter of the hole and then go measure the shank diameter on the bolt and there ya go.

Make sure to get grade 8 bolts.
