back in january i was drivn 1 day and at a stop the idle was fluttering between like 750 and 1000 rpms the shift points also may have been a bit different idk... well i got home disconnected the battery and it didnt do it again until wednesday( 6 mos later) so i disconnected the battery and it stopped doing it until this afternoon... what could it be im thinkn a sensor?
ive had that problem to. but didnt disconnect the battery. check the tps.
idles from like 750-1000k rpms, when cold started it spikes at 1800 and slowly drops to 750 and it bounces b/w 750 and 1000, no problems while at hiway speeds, possible slight change in shift points? thats what urs did?
My fluctuating idle, in neutral or park, was a bad TPS sensor. That will also screw with your torque converter, which may make it feel like its shifting differently.

Will that also make the torque converter lock in and out?
i just had this problem fixed on mine. it was a faulty O2 sensor. at first the shop thought it was the tps because there was no check engine light on. it was the upstream O2 sensor it was slow to wake up. hope this solves your problem
sounds like the tps on mine witch is a standard when i would coast up to a light in neutral the rpm's would jump all over the place and disconnecting the battery somehow helped for a day or two
