Default Looking for a new Tranny

Hi Ya Guys.
I have a 1997 Dodge 1500 Pickup.
360, 2WD, A518 Tranny.
I'm looking for information about where to get the best deal on a tranny install.
What would be the best set up for my situtation.
I live in Silver City NM.
I use my truck to haul a light load every now and then.
If I can make it out to AZ, I can get a very good price on a reman, installed.
I also got a diagnostic on my tranny.
" I scanned ecm codes and data. Found Multiple codes, but only one trans code. Code 37 governor pressure malfunction. Monitored data during test drive. Found that desired vs. actual pressure readings not acceptable. Performed line pressure test and found pressure below acceptable reading. Recommened replacing trans as problem isprobably internal failure occuring."
Here in Silver City they want to charge me 3200$ for a tranny, and install.
In AZ it would only be 1200$, big difference I would say.
So any help in this area would be great.
Thanks,
Bill Mack

I would post this in this sticky https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...on-corner.html
He is tranny guru, he may be able to tell you from info you have weather you really need a rebuild or not.
Or anything else you might be able to check before spending any cash at all.

Thanks for getting back to me.
It's going to take a little time for me to figure this site out, thanks for the input.

Thak you for the input.
It's nice to deal with profisionals.
I'n not that good at trucks, but I have been doing Art Glass for 35 years.
If anyone need help in that area, I have that covered.
Thanks again.

Hey, BillyMack, welcome! Some time in the next couple of months we're moving to Silver City or thereabouts, preferably in Silver but somewhere nearby if we can't find a place in town. If you should need a hand after we've landed and got our house in order, give a holler (PM me here).
