Ya I called them, and they said to flush it, just fogot to tell me. That's no big deal though.
Did you have to have your PCM modified to compensate for the new gears?

I have my Hypertech now too, so I guess if speedo is all they can do, then I can do that myself. I thought Hypertech udjusted speedo based on tire size. Does it ask about gear ratio?

Would the dealer need to adjust the shift points since I am at different RPM's?

Hey what did it cost to switch to 4.11s. I too would like to run 33s but with my current 3.55 gears I am afraid it would be a dog instead of a dodge and don't want that but I don't really know how much gears are. Is it hard to do yourself?

I'm not sure how difficult it is. I've never done it before, but I have heard it is pretty detailed. I didn't want to experiment with trying it since my pickup is mostly a daily driver while my Mustang is out of commision (needs a new rack and pinion). If you have a shop do it, it will run from $1200-$1800 for a 4x4 depending on what brand gears you get and if you change anything else (for example, mine was an extra $400 for the Auburn limited slip).

I see your forum name is 1500sport. If your pickup is a Sport, it might not have 3.55 gears. I thought the Sport and Off-road models came with either 3.92 or 4.11. I could be wrong since mine is not a Sport, this is just what I heard.

1999 Sprot 4x4 with 3.92 gears 1650-1700RPM @55-60 climbs hills nicely too...i think 4.11 is getting down there a little low, get up to about 80 sometime and let me know what your taching at, just curious, dont get a ticket for me though, and silverdodge, got my 52mm fastman on its way, hope i see some difference with it

I don't have a tac, so I would just be guessing. Not very often that I get the pickup up to 80 anyway. That is why the 4.11's should work good for me.

I bet you will, escpecially if you have a air intake to go with it. The more air flow you can force through that larger TB, the more difference you will see.

They are 3.55 gears with anti spin rear end. Says it on the rear end and in the build sheet. I think that is more than what I want to spend on gears for now so I may go with close to stock tires for replacements. I'll decide by the end of summer. Thanks for the info!

3.55 should be fine for 33's, I had 3.07's in my old truck and it ran 31's with no problem at all, and that was with a burnt out 305
