Default Couple problems

Hey all,

I am still having problems with a clunking sound in my front end. It started after I installed my leveling kit. Whenever I go over bumps, I can feel a clunking in my steering wheel and floor board. I have rechecked torques on the leveling kit and shocks, and they are fine. I checked for loose suspension and its all tight. Seems to be coming from the drivers side more than the passenger. Could a bad/blown shock do this? I cant figure it out...

Secondly, does anyone else have to pretty much floor it on the interstate to get it to kick down and increase speed? What would cause this? It shifts just fine all the time, but it doesnt seem like it should take that much pedal to get it goin.

Thanks

thumping under your feet can be loose lower shock bolt. it needs to be torqued to 100+ pounds.

Yes, a blown shock could cause that, but 99% of the time its a loose lower shock bolt. Like vaughan stated, it needs 100 ft/lbs of torque for the lower bolt.

Yup, thats pretty much needed. One way to get around that a bit is to turn off O/D until your up to speed, then turn it back on.
