update on reman 5.9 mag on ebay
so the guy said that i do indeed have a roller engine, but it is only $100 extra for a roller engine. i asked him if i culd use a non roller and he chuckled saying- i wuldnt. anyhow he said the warranty is all inclusive and theres no fine print... it throws a rod threw the block in 1 wk or 4yrs hell replace it for free. i can install the engine and mod it and that WONT void the warranty, however any new parts that i install are ofcourse not covered by his warranty. he also said he culd do upgraded heads for 700 wich i dont think ill get into. but he said he culd do a more aggresive cam for 100, WHICH im definetly gonna do! all engines are made to order. any other mods i shuld ask him about, like how much he wuld charge to do such and such...reasonably cheap?? he also said to send it back if it doesnt run as good or better than a 5.9 from the chrysler plant. link below

With a 4x4, make sure the cam is modest and keeps your powerband low with good torque numbers at low RPMs.
No sense making 500hp at 6000rpms if you're crawling in 4LO for 5 hours a day.
You are replacing an old 360, correct? not swapping a 318 to a 360, right?
I'd ask him for brass core (freeze) plugs, and a timing chain tensioner to be installed.

Timing chain tensioner will take up the slack in the chain that develops over time due to our blocks wide gap between the camshaft and crankshaft. The gap makes stroking our engines easier, but causes the excess slack in the timing chain.
