I have a 97 1500, my rear leaf spring shackle is rotted away. What is the easiest way to change this out? Thanks guys.

 

If you have a hitch take that out first, then take out bottom bolt that connects the shackle to the hanger, then jack up the axle so that the leaf spring hits the bottom of the bed and keep going till the top bolt clears the frame then slide bolt out and replace.

Dont know if its the easiest way but its how I did it, the longest part was taking the hitch off
