If they're actually screwed through the fender you shouldn't have a problem with lining them. However I'd be curious of the makeup of the plastic, and weather or not the strength/chemical makeup of the plastic would take it.

If it were me I would rubberize them. If that doesn't look nice, strip it and start over!

Truck looks good, I think that is one of the few trucks with flares I actually like the look of, might want to consider a body color or black grille now

Such a difference....looks like not doing the axle swap was a good idea

thanks! I am painting my mirrors and grille black along with my axles and such.. then im herculining my bed, the rockers, and possibly the interior and rear bumper.
