It was a pain in the butt to do. lots of yelling. I have seen a headliner done like this on the net somewhere. It looks pretty cool if done right!

I did this about 5 months ago with mossy oak breakup, still holden in too, also did a headliner out of the same fabric. Got the idea for the door panels off someone on the forum, headliner was my idea that other people had as well.

I want to know if the 98 dash setup will bolt into a 1997.

i can tell you no. 98 models were the new interior. so i highly dought it would fit

You can tell me "no", yet you doubt it would fit. What's so different, because the body style didn't change until 2002.


To the OP -- I wish you'd taken pictures of each step of the process. It makes it easier for some of us who may be considering something similar in the future. Either way, it looks great.

Ok call me dumb, what is plastic weld? What did you use and how is it holding up. I need to repair a door lock and am looking at trying this with mine. I already did the headliner, so doing the doors would finish the look until my seat covers get delivered

I used a plastic welder that my buddy had. Just like a metal welder but alot cheaper. You can get them at any major hardware store like Home depot or Harbor Freight. The plastic I used was just some that came with the welder in a kit. Its still holding up great! It helps that thats the piece that is screwed into the door, so its got alot of support.

You got any pics of the headliner?
