Default Electrical Issue: Passenger Window

I have a stranger issue with my power window on the passenger side.

It only wants to go up! (If I reverse the connector at the regulator I can get it to go down)

When I try and move the window down, it gives power to both sides of the window motor. Does not matter which side I try from. I figured this would be fixed with a new drivers side window switch.

Nope...

Is there a relay or something in the mix that is causing me this issue? At 80 bux for the passenger switch, I just don't wanna throw parts at this.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my power windows and the problem was dirty switches on the drivers side control that operates the passenger side window. The controls just un-snap and you can easilly clean the switches on the control. I'd try that on both the drivers and passenger side.

New switches on both sides, and its still not working. I am guessing I have a short somewhere. If I can figure out the schematic I am going to run temporary wires to see if it is a short. If I can't, I will just run the wrong wires and hope I can put it all back together.

It is a short! I cut the passenger window signal wires on the drivers switch, same ones on the passenger switch, hooked em up with new wire and BAM! The window works!!

Now I just have to run the wires in safe spot, and get em through both the door grommets. How hard can that be? (ughhh hard, i have done this for car audio stuff before.)
