1997 Ram 2500 ac problem

Hey guys I have a 97 Ram 2500 with the 5.9. The evap went bad so I changed it out and all borrowed a pump pumped down the system and all and put in the correct amount of freon. Now the truck does blow SOME cold air enough to cool down the cab but its not where it should be it should be colder is there a problem with these trucks and this issue?
