so i know some people get hooks and some like other things, i was wondering what everyone was runnin and if u had pics. i was thinkin about puttin d-rings on the front of mine, love the look. and would rather have those than a hook, no risk of it coming off. but then what about the back? what do yal use?

 

I've always preferred shackles myself, for mostly the same reasons you mentioned. No risk of coming off and they just look cool.

I've had shackles on the front of my trucks since way back in the mid 80's when I wasn't even old enough for a drivers' license and had them on a '73 Jeep J-10 pickup we used around the farm.

 

yup i think i might put the on the back though, up under the rear bumped, kinda hidin but hangin down to where u can use them. i always pull with the rear of the truck is why.

 

Mine are built into my bumpers so I only use d-rings. I used to have hooks up front but if you are making the decision now just go with the rings.
