I have a 1997 Ram 1500, 318, 4wd, ect... My question is, how do i know what package i have? Like, the Laramie, SLT ect?? Apparently my truck was debadged before I aquired it. The only thing on the truck is the DODGE on the tailgate in vinyl stickers. It has all the normal power options, dl, ps, mirrors, sunroof ect.. except for seats. And, it has paint matched bumpers, and grille. Does that make it a sport? How would I go about finding out? Thank you.

 

Go to Chrysler's website and request a built sheet, but it sounds like a sport with the bumbers, not sure about the SLT if you don't have power seats..

 

yep, either go to chryslers site and request your build sheet, or you can also go right into a Dodge dealer with your VIN and they'll give it to ya. It will list every single option on your truck, and maybe even some that aren't (rack and pinion steering on US Rams apparently )

 

Looks like I'm going to the dealership. I searched online for a vin decoder and they all told me what I know. "Dodge Ram 1500". No ****...lol. And all I found on Dodge's website was that the hood latch was recalled back in 2001....

 

I went in to the dealer for mine, and they mentioned the hood latch recall and scheduled me to have it changed, although I haven't gone back yet...
