Default Front Dana 44 CAD collar

I might be changing out my gears, so at the same time I'd like to get rid of the CAD set-up. The factory system has a collar that a fork slides over to connect the two axles. Is there such a thing as a longer collar that would continually connect/cover both axles' splines all the time, negating the need for a fork?

Kind of... or you can put in a one piece axle and get rid of the entire thing.
