I ended up with a pair of retreads. Figured what the hell, I will try them, that way I can let you guys know how they go. Put them on yesterday and they balanced pretty well, just like a new tire. Got the tires in 3 business days.

Thanks

I was looking at the site that you posted for the retreads, and I am going to buy those when I have to get new tires. The price is great, and I have used retreads before with no issues.

Concerning treadwrights, the tread may be new and fine, but the sidewall will be several years old when you first get them.

I researched them and decided not to risk the danger to me or my family for just a few hundred dollars over 3-4 yrs of use.

They check to make sure the side wall is in good condition before they use it.

TreadWright tests their tires using better than new tire specs. To each their own, but this is not my family vehicle. My wife's vehicle gets new tires because my son rides in that the majority of the time. If I am on the highway, I only go short distances since her car gets a lot better mpg. TreadWright is a family owned business that has been in business since 1981. That means a lot to me when a company has been in business for almost 30 years and has great customer service!

That and the only bad thing I could find before getting my tires was one guy that had his set wear out quickly, but they do have a 2 year warranty so he was taken care of.

I want to get a nice 3in lift for my truck and get some Tread Wright tires. Probably some 33's.
