Default Tire Size on Stock RAM 1500

What is the biggest tire I can put on my stock 1998 Ram 1500 5.9L 2wd? I can put either LT225/75/r16XL or 245/75/r16 I want to get bigger tires to make the truck set up alittle higher, put I don;t want to F@#K anything up doing it! I want to put 265/75/r16 or 33's if they will fit.. any help or ides...

265's fit just fine on my bone stock '98 4WD.

4WDs are a little higher up than a 2WD like his. I'd recommend 265s at the most, they may rub slightly.

265/75/16 on a stock 2wd is the biggest you can go, if you want to go bigger grab a spacer and go up to a 285/75/16

Thanks Guys I think I am going to go with the 265's. But like redheadhunter21 said I can always get a spacer and put it on and still go with the 265's... or bigger..
