I've been reading this forum for a couple days now, this is my first post, and have a 4wd question. My truck seems to go in & out of 4wd properly, but the 4wd light, when 4wd not engaged, flickers on & off at will. Is this a vacuum issue? I know it isn't engaged when the light is on. (97 ram 1500 4x4 5.9) thanks in advance for any info.

 

so ur light just flickers on by will? and its not engaged? sounds like the indicator lamp switch might be messed up on the CAD on ur front axle. you will see the CAD system with 2 vaccum lines runnin to it on ur front axle, well on the opposite side of the cad motor there will be a indicator lamp switch. try that. shouldnt cost much.
