Default 3rd Gen body with a 2nd Gen motor

Hey guys.. I've been hanging around the 3rd gen side for a while since mine "technically" is a 3rd gen b/c of the body style but it has a 2nd gen motor (5.9).

Now my question is about exhaust. I've been lookin at a couple different ones. Mainly Magnaflow and Cherry Bomb.. I did look up some on youtube but that doesn't help much. I was leanin towards the cherry bomb extreme since it is pretty loud but I did hear a Magnaflow on it in person and it sounded awesome.

Experience with these two exhaust would be great... I want loud but not annoying and good rumble...Plus I know that there are a bunch of different types of magnaflows that can make it sound differently.

Thanks in advance

If that is what ur looking for, I would suggest the Flowmaster Super 44 muffler. My truck came to life with setup. Sounds like a beast but not annoying. You will really appreciate the purr you get outta the 5.9 magnum. They sound so good with these mufflers IMO. Check out the youtube vid of my truck to see if you like the sound. It was with the cat still on, single inlet and dual outlet muff. Hope this helps with ur decision.

I liked my Flowmaster 40 series, until 2 years later when it was rusted through. When I cut it out to replace it, it hit the ground and a plume of orange dust went up in there air, there was nothing left inside of it aside from rust dust. I went with Magnaflow for a replacement, it sounds much better, doesn't sound like its under water anymore. Four years later and it still looks and sounds the same as the day I had it installed. They also have a lifetime warranty. Cherry bomb extreme is also a great choice, and so is Aeroturbine.

I tend to look at Cherry Bomb as a better value over a Magnaflow. I just have issues paying what MF wants for pretty much a stainless steel glass pack.

Also note, that CB muffler wont stay all pretty and painted. According to them, the paint is designed to burn off in the first few times you drive the truck. The residue left over from the chemical reaction, they claim, will help protect the metal from oxidation. It's not a well known fact and a lot of people tend to want to paint them again...

i have longtubes hooked up to highflow cat with cherrybomb extreme , its awesome, less restrictive than flowmaster because CB extreme is a single chamber muffler
doesnt drone and sounds good from idle to WOT.
